Assistant MacOS 8.1.1 - 9.04

                                                                           To begin, Quit all programs and return to the Desktop.

Double Click on the Hard Drive Icon.

The Hard Drive that contains the active System Software places itself on the upper right hand corner of the Desktop. It is usually named MacHD or Macintosh HD (It may even be named with the model number of your computer, and have an Icon to match), but can also be renamed to anything that a previous user may have chosen.

    Inside the Window for the Hard Drive, there should be an Assistants Folder.

Double Click on it.

    Inside the Assistants Window there should be an Alias to the Internet Setup Assistant.

Double Click on it.

                                                                             Click Yes.

     This explains the process and the information needed. Make sure you have your Username, Password, and a local Dialup number. (If you do not have this info yet, please call Maverick Internet Customer Service at 830-896-4595).

If you have these items then just fill in the windows as shown unless directed to do otherwise.

               You can click on Show Details to verify your info.

 

 

                    Click on Go Ahead to save the configuration.

     You will then see a screen like this, that says Adding Configuration and then Finishing... When the Assistant is finished, you will be returned to the Finder (Desktop).

You should now be able to log in to the service by launching one of your internet programs, or by using the Remote Access Control Panel in the Control Panels (in the Apple Menu), or the Remote Access Status Application in the Apple Menu.
